THE WAY OF THE WHITE REINDEER
A personal journey into shamanic wisdom, nature and the heart
What does it mean to feel at home in yourself, connected to the earth beneath your feet and able to trust the direction of your own life? The Way of the White Reindeer is an invitation to explore these questions through direct experience, in a community where there is room for both your strength and your vulnerability.
Over 18 months and six modules, we explore shamanic practice as a living relationship with ourselves, nature and the world around us. Through drum journeys, meditation, ceremony, healing touch and time in nature, you will discover practices that can help you listen more deeply, recognise familiar patterns and find your own way of working with the wisdom you encounter.
The program is rooted in our Sámi heritage and our relationship with noaidevouhta, Sámi shamanic tradition. We also draw on practices and insights we have encountered through contemporary shamanism and other traditions. Our focus is on how this knowledge can become meaningful in the life you actually live, in your relationships, your choices and the way you meet everyday challenges.
A journey that becomes part of your life
Each module opens a different part of the journey, from grounding and expanded awareness to the heart, relationships, ancestral work and rites of passage. Between gatherings, you have time to practise, reflect and allow your experiences to become part of daily life.
You do not need to arrive with a particular spiritual belief or a clear idea of where the journey will lead. Curiosity, a willingness to participate and openness to discovering something new are a good place to begin. Some participants come to deepen an existing practice, while others feel a longing for connection, meaning or a change they cannot yet put into words.
Module 1: A New Path
We begin by establishing a foundation for the journey together. You will explore grounding, intention, meditation and shamanic drum journeys, alongside the four elements, seven directions and stories from Sámi mythology. Through practical exercises, we investigate different states of awareness and how to approach nature as a source of learning. This first gathering gives you practices to return to throughout the program and space to discover your own relationship with the work.
Module 2: The Shamanic Heart
How do you recognise what your heart is telling you, and distinguish it from fear, habit or other people’s expectations? Through heart meditation, listening practices and shamanic heart constellations, we explore the qualities of a clear, strong, open and full heart. We work with empathy, boundaries and our connection to the earth, developing a deeper understanding of how we relate to ourselves and others.
Module 3: The Power of Rituals
Ritual can give form to something we feel but have not yet found a way to express. In this module, we explore how ceremony can support transitions, honour what matters and create space for change. Through breath, movement, the natural elements and the creation of an altar, you will discover the principles behind meaningful ceremonial work. With guidance, you will create a ceremony for a fellow participant and receive one yourself.
Module 4: The World of Relationships
Our relationships shape us, and some continue to influence us long after the contact itself has changed. Here, we explore relational patterns, ancestral connections and the places where we may lose touch with our own needs or strength. Through relationship mapping, meditation and energetic cord work, we investigate how to meet others with greater clarity while remaining connected to ourselves. We also explore sexuality as creative life force, through reflection and individual practices, without sexual interaction during the module.
Module 5: Clearing the Timeline
We turn towards the experiences and inherited patterns that may still influence how we live today. Through guided journeys, healing touch and intuitive exploration, we work with personal history, ancestral themes and the meanings we carry from the past. The intention is to create more freedom in how we respond in the present. You will also explore your intuitive perception and practise approaching what you sense with curiosity and discernment.
Module 6: Rites of Passage
Our final gathering takes place over four days in nature. Through preparation, elemental practices, sacred fire and a guided vision quest, you will have time to step away from everyday distractions and listen to what is emerging within you. We explore both shadow and strength, and what it means to enter a new phase of life consciously. The journey closes with a collective rite of passage and a celebration of what each person brings forward.
Your guides, Kjetil and Daniella
We bring our Sámi background, our experience of teaching and holding space, and our own ongoing relationship with this work into the program. We care about making these practices accessible and relevant, while allowing each participant to develop their own understanding through experience.
Throughout the journey, we offer guidance and a space for questions, reflection and shared discovery. The group also becomes an important part of the learning, a place where you can be witnessed, meet different perspectives and build connections with others exploring a similar path.
The program is a journey of personal and spiritual development. It does not confer the title of shaman or certify you as a therapist. You will, however, encounter practices that can enrich your personal life and, where relevant, complement work you already do with others.
Would you like to explore whether this journey is for you?
Leave your name and email address, and we will send you more information about the program, including its structure, practical arrangements and plans for the next group. You are also welcome to share what draws you to the journey or any questions you would like us to answer.
Expressing your interest carries no commitment to join. It simply gives us a way to stay in touch while you explore whether the Way of the White Reindeer feels right for you. We will contact you when there is enough interest to begin a new group.
