Vaajma cranio training

Our study program is not only a comprehensive therapist education, but an opportunity to make the biggest and most important journey you have ever made:

- The journey home to your own heart.

Craniosacral work is a natural and holistic healing method based on the use of intuitive skills and conscious touch.  We listen deeply, move energy and spirit, make small adjustments of bone structure, work directly with central nervous system, muscles and connective tissue and interact with the body's own intelligence, with the intention of personal and spiritual growth, and to bring the body, mind and soul back to health and balance.

About the education

About the

About the education
The cranioacral education is an in-depth module-based education over 2 years part-time, with 9 modules of 4 days each. The entire education is designed as a personal journey and healing process with the goal that you will find the most authentic version of yourself in the process.

The education is based on craniosacral work, which is a natural and holistic healing tradition that stretches back many thousands of years. We find traces of this type of work in ancient traditions all over the globe.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the modality was assembled into a modern holistic system by the bioenergetic genius and visionary William Garner Sutherland. Later, several different craniosacral modalities have arisen from his students and their students again. At our academy, we embrace them all. For us it is not about the technique that is use, but how we use them.

In craniosacral work, we listen deeply to the rhythms of the soul, move energy and spirit, make small adjustments in the bone structure. We work directly with the cerebrospinal fluid, central nervous system, membranes, muscles and connective tissue, and interact with the body's own intelligence, with the intention of personal growth, to bring body, mind and soul back to good health and balance.

At our academy, we have a shamanistic basic philosophy, where contact with inner and outer nature is fundamental. In addition to craniosacral techniques, shamanic work and basic philosophy, sensitive touch, the art of listening, reading people's bodies, energy fields and psyche, you will learn to develop your own sensitivity and intuitive abilities.

We work on developing resilience, finding inner strength, joy, silence and deep calm through touch, meditation practice, breathing, yoga and other practices that bring you into contact with your soul's potential.

"For me, the studyprogram has had a wonderful balance between theory and practice. Both inside and outside the classroom, as well as in life in general, this has incorporated itself in a very natural way along my path. I have grown enormously in these two years, but the most important lesson I'm left with is that I already had all the knowledge inside me.
All I needed were the tools to get there."
"I have gained a deeper insight into life than I have ever tought was possible. I have learned most from my own intuition, but would never have understood the connection without Kjetil's guidance and advice. I am so grateful that he has given enough individual freedom trough the training so have been able to follow my own path"
"Kjetil is a fantastic good , friend, teacher and mentor. I  can recommend this training wholeheartedly. He is a good and dedicated teacher in line with his destiny. Kjetil is genuine, a two-year training with him will change your life for ever"
"Everything is completely different. I know who I am Now and what I'm going to do.  I'm open, see more clearly, o am well grounded and have an inner security that endures a lot more than before. I'm extremely grateful."
The training has been an incredible journey. I have learned to listen with my hands and to trust that with the help of simple techniques and by being present, I can help people to initiate healing processes within themselves. In In addition, I have learned an enormous amount about myself and experienced the power of cranio treatment. Nothing is the same as before. Fortunately".
"The combination of listening, reading, trial and error and receiving treatment has been very important.
Kjetil sees everyone. Is humble, but at the same time dares to be honest and challenge when it feels right.
Caring and clear. Funny.
Highly recommended!"

In this way, insight and deep wisdom are transmitted.

During each module, you will learn several therapeutic techniques. Together, we take part in processes throughout the module, and you will be introduced to new meditations, simple yoga exercises, and other activities that you can use in your own practice or to support clients’ processes. Each module also focuses on the development of a new intuitive channel. In addition, there will be one self-development assignment and one group assignment during the module.

A closed Facebook group for the student cohort will be created, where you can share professional information, experiences, and processes with fellow students. Together we are strong!

Do you have to take an exam?
No. We offer two different study tracks:

  • Personal track: For those who wish to study primarily for personal development. No requirement to practice with clients between sessions, and no exam. Only 8 modules.

  • Professional track: You don’t need to decide on the professional track until the second year. Many discover that the knowledge and methods learned can be easily integrated into different types of work and aspects of life. If you choose the professional track, there are requirements for client practice and the submission of 50 client case forms before the exam.

Exam:
Individual exam when you are ready after completing 8 modules.
Exam cost: NOK 2,500, which includes a theoretical home exam.
Once you have passed the theoretical exam, we will arrange a practical exam where you will work with a client with a teacher present, or directly with the teacher, for evaluation of your professional level.

To qualify for the exam, you must have received at least 10 craniosacral treatments outside of the study gatherings from a teacher or a craniosacral practitioner approved by us. You must also have submitted at least 50 client case forms.

What if you miss a module?
If you miss a module due to illness or circumstances beyond your control, you may, by agreement, retake it later, either at the next opportunity at your study location or at other locations where we conduct the training.

Diploma:
When you have completed all 8 modules, you will receive a course certificate for the completed modules. After passing the exam, you will receive a diploma confirming that you are a qualified craniosacral therapist from Vaajma Academy. Completing the exams and modules, as well as assisting in at least 2 different modules, gives you the title Vaajma Craniosacral Therapist. Your profile may also be highlighted as a recommended therapist on our website.

Can I work as a certified therapist after the exam?
Craniosacral therapy is not publicly accredited. As a student, you may apply for membership in NLH, which is a professional organization that accredits therapists. Our curriculum meets the accreditation requirements.

If you wish to be registered as an accredited therapist in the Brønnøysund Register, you must, in addition to passing our exams, complete the VEKS course and Anatomy/Physiology/Pathology education. We do not offer these courses, but they can be taken online, for example, at Tunsberg Medical School (tunmed.no) or NLH.

Postponement and cancellation:
Vaajma Academy reserves the right to cancel or postpone the program if there are fewer than 12 registered students 1 week before the start. In case of cancellation, the entire amount paid will be refunded.
In the event of a postponement of less than 6 months, the tuition fee will not be refunded but transferred to the new start date.

Vaajma Academy also reserves the right to postpone or change the dates of study weekends before or during the program if circumstances beyond our control affect the modules.

Payment:

You may choose to pay the full amount before the start or pay in installments.

  • Option 1: Full payment upon registration. You will receive an invoice for the full amount, payable within 14 days of registration.
Total: NOK 54,000 for 2 years or NOK 28,000 for 1 year at a time.

  • Option 2: NOK 4,000 non-refundable registration fee upon enrollment. Then NOK 2,500 per month over 22 months.
    Total: NOK 59,000.

Registration and withdrawal:
To join this journey, we require full commitment to all 8 modules. If this level of commitment feels challenging, we recommend attending one of our weekend retreats instead.

Registration entails a financial commitment. By registering for the training, you agree to a financial contract, in the same way as when purchasing other goods or services. A 14-day right of withdrawal according to Norwegian law applies.

If illness prevents you from completing the training, a medical certificate confirming that your health condition will not allow you to complete the program within the next three years is required to terminate the contract. Individuals with chronic illnesses or known health challenges that could hinder completion in case of worsening are required to disclose this upon registration. This allows us to take it into account in our assessment.

Cancellation fee for students who have entered into a contract is NOK 6,500 per module up to the time of termination, plus NOK 6,000 in cancellation fee regardless of cause.

If you would like further clarification or wish to discuss your situation, you are welcome to schedule a consultation before completing registration.

All modules, except Module 4, will be held in Oslo. Module 4 is a retreat module that will take place in a retreat center in scenic surroundings, where students will live together for 4 days. Travel, accommodation, and food for Module 4 will incur additional costs.
